The SDRCA has been declared of public utility by the Justice Department of the Government of Catalonia (Barcelona, September 18, 2012) and exempt from tax by the Tax Agency of Letamendi (Barcelona, February 1, 2012)

The SDRCA participates in all kinds of social events where invited, include Les Corts Coopera, Triatló Sísmic Solidari, Fair of Barcelona Associations, Barnàfrika, Inclusion Week.

The SDRCA is part of Civil Rights and Cooperation Council of the District of Les Corts.

This milestone is especially important for the SDRCA can coordinate with other entities of Les Corts that target certain African countries.

The SDRCA is a cultural non-profit incorporated on January 13, 2006. Part of the Guide of the Department of Justice of the Generalitat of Catalonia, the General File of Barcelona Citizen Entities, the Foundation Board of the Information Catalonia, Audiovisual Companies Registry of the Catalan Institute of Cultural Entreprises of the Generalitat of Catalonia, Digital Heritage of Catalonia as proposed by the Library of Catalonia.

Funding sources are mostly private (partners), but also has been supported by the Generalitat de Catalunya, Barcelona City Hall and Banca Cívica. The media is looking SDRCA own funding. The self-financing SDRCA also seeks editing and producing books and DVD on African issues.
